Drill Press Table:
This is my drill press table. I took several different design ideas and came up with my own plan, which you see here. The plan started with a design out of ShopNotes No. 57, and then progressed from there as I made modifications to suit my purposes. The table is made of MDF with hardboard glued to the top and bottom surfaces. QS red oak scrap was used for the edge banding. It is approximately 37" wide x 18" deep x 1.25" thick. The fence is a 36" ShopStop fence that was on sale at Woodpeckers . The fence is held down by some angle iron I attached to the back side, which then bolts down to the t-tracks on the edges. The t-tracks were from Woodpeckers. The middle t-tracks are there for using hold down clamps, which are from Woodcraft. The opening in the center of the table holds replaceable zero-clearance inserts that are made of 1/4" hardboard.
Not visible in these shots is a small base that has 2.5" dust collection and a small drawer. It also provides the attachment points for the table, which bolts through the DP's table using tee nuts and 1/4"-20 bolts. A horseshoe shape is cut out of the middle of the rear side of the table so that it fits around the DP column. The entire thing is finished with Watco Dark Walnut Danish Oil.
